Personalized College List

We spend 20-percent of our professional time visiting colleges and universities throughout the United States. We regularly tour college campuses, attend information sessions and meet with faculty, admissions representatives and deans. These first hand experiences and up-to-date knowledge help us identify colleges that match the student’s needs academically, socially and financially.

College Essay

For many students, the college essay is the most daunting part of the college application process. The college essay gives students the opportunity to tell admissions counselors something unique about themselves that cannot be found anywhere else on the application. We begin by reviewing the application prompts and brainstorming with students. We help students find their voice and tell their personal stories by asking guiding questions and offering suggestions.

Activities Resume

An activities resume is a summary of a student’s honors, activities, leadership roles and personal experiences. Resumes help the guidance counselor and teachers write recommendation letters, assist college representatives frame interviews and supplement the college application. We help students highlight their strengths and present their activities in an organized format.

Interview Prep

We help students prepare for on-campus and off-campus interviews by reviewing potential questions and discussing interview etiquette. We meet with students individually, conduct mock interviews and follow up with personal critiques.

Junior and Senior College Packages
These are our most popular services. We review the student’s curriculum, grades, testing, extracurricular activities and experiences. Then we identify colleges that meet the student’s  academic, social and financial needs.  We also help the student with the activity resume, conduct mock interviews, brainstorm and offer feedback with college admission and scholarship essays (we do not write essays for students), and review college applications, and manage deadlines. Unlimited phone calls and emails are included in these packages. When all college decisions are in, we help the student review college options academically, socially and financially.

 

Jump-Start College for the Freshman and Sophomore

We recognize that college preparation actually begins freshman year of high school. Course selection, grades earned and experiences gained through extracurricular activities in school and out of school will impact a student’s growth and future. Beginning the process freshman or sophomore year gives the student a distinct advantage in the college application process. With these jump-start packages, we can review student’s course selections and advise on test prep options, extracurricular activities and summer opportunities.

*Please note that all services included in Junior and Senior Packages are also included in the Freshman and Sophomore Packages.

 

College List Package:

This service includes two personalized 60-minute “get-to know you” meetings where we identify the student’s academic, social and financial needs. We then compile a well-researched, personalized college list that matches the student’s criteria and qualifications. A 90-minute follow-up meeting is included.

Transfer Package:

College students who are thinking about transferring to another school have unique needs and concerns.  We help students find a college that will best meet their goals and assist them with transfer specific questions.

Hourly Services:

We offer hourly packages beginning with three-hour clusters for individual college application services (not including the college list) to be paid in advance. Hourly services may include essay tutoring, interview preparation, resume preparation, application review, etc.
